Latest commission: Personalised Bridesmaids Bracelets

I have recently been contacted by a bride to be who was looking for some bridesmaids bracelets.
She wanted to combine the capped bead from my 'floating flower necklace' together with my 'stretchy pearl bracelet'.

Her colour theme was sage green with light pink. We have decided to use some 8mm Swarovski Crystal pearls together with a glass lampwork bead with pink floating flowers and green leaves.

This was a bit of a rushed job as I was asked to do this on a Monday for a wedding on a Saturday but I think the bracelets looked lovely and my customer was pleased with them...
Here are some photos of the final result!
Please contact me through my Folksy shop if you are interested in personalised bridesmaids jewellery.

Blog giveaway: prize claimed.

The winner of my blog giveaway was Charlotte from Charlotte Hupfield ceramics.
Charlotte won a free personalised item of her choice (up to £16.99) and  she chose a Sterling silver necklace with a heart charm. She wanted the word 'HOPE' stamped on and added a simple clear crystal birthstone.

The necklace looked simple but elegant and I think Charlotte was pleased with it.

My new blog giveaway is coming soon so watch this space...

I (heart) my new tool.

I have bought myself a new tool recently, a Heart shape hand punch tool.
I thought it would be useful for decorating Christmas gift tags, cards etc. I'm really pleased with it, it works really well. You can cut heart shaped holes (they are only about 6mm) but also heart confetti, although you may be a while doing it...
Anyway, I have created some tiny tags with a heart shaped hole which will be threaded onto each of my personalised necklaces and bracelets.
The tags say:
Handstamped by Personalised Treasures.

Overall, I'm really pleased with the tool and my new tags. Hope you like them too.

From the garden

Pumpkin carving fun.

My daughter and myself have been doing some pumpkin carving. She got bored after about 5 minutes but I quite enjoyed it and was pleased with the result (until the following day when my pumpkin dried up and shrunk and looked terrible...).
May just have to do it all over again on Monday...

Time to treat myself (again)…

Every now and then I get this need to treat myself and make a piece of jewellery for ME rather than other people.
My recent soldered stud earrings project (read here) has inspired me to make another soldered, slightly more complicated, piece of personalised jewellery.

I wanted to create something very personal to me with the names of my closest, my little daughter and my husband (so that he doesn’t moan about not having his name included…)
I decided to make a sterling silver heart shape pendant with the 2 names hidden inside. It was a bit more complicated than what I normally do but I have really enjoyed creating this necklace and I’m pleased with the way it turned out.
Here are some progress pictures together with the finished piece. Hope you like it.
I’m not really planning on making this pendant again and adding it to my shop, it was just a treat for myself (although I would probably give in if somebody tried to persuade me to make it for them…)

You may remember my blog giveaway where you had a chance to win a free personalised item of your choice.
I have decided to close this giveaway earlier than originally planed (before the mad Xmas rush starts...) and so you have a last chance to enter.
The giveaway will be finishing this Friday the 21st October so if you would like to enter, please click here to find out how.
Good Luck.

New additions: personalised jewellery made from aluminium

It was my 10th wedding anniversary recently and I needed to find a tin or an aluminium gift for my other half.
There were quite a lot of gifts available for women, such as this lovely heart shaped bowl (which I was lucky enough to receive) but I struggled to find something personal for men.

This gave me an idea to add some personalised aluminium jewellery items to my shop.

I now have a new range available in my Folksy shop including message dog tags, personalised rings and cuff bracelets stamped with names or short messages.

They are very lightweight and easy to wear and are polished to a nice shine (and very affordable). All supplied in a lovely gift box with a ribbon ready for giving as 10th wedding anniversary gifts.

Please click on the images below for more details about each product and to go straight to my Folksy shop.

Latest commission: Stud earrings with words

I have recently been contacted by one of my customer asking for some silver stud earrings personalised with the words LOVE and YOU.
This would involve soldering a post to the back of domed stamped discs. I do not normally do soldering so I have offered my customer my hanging stamped earrings. However she really wanted stud earrings and so I had to refuse this commission.

The same customer contacted me a few weeks later about a personalised keyring and she was still trying to find the earrings and was quite desperate for somebody to make them. After a bit of persuading I agreed to make these soldered earrings (partly because I had a 'quiet' period at the time). I don't much like doing soldering as it involves handling acid (to clean the fire stains) but I thought it would be a nice project for me...

So anyway, here they are, I'm quite pleased with the way they have turned out.

When my customer received her earrings, this is what she sent me:

Oh my giddy flaming aunt, they are perfect, perfect, PERFECT! Just exactly what i wanted! God you little bobby dazzler you! You will go far!!!!! I just LOVE them! Cant wait to go n show hubby!!!! Oh they are just gorgeous! Thankyou sooooooo much!

I think she liked them...

Keep them quiet for a while...

My 2.5yr old daughter has recently been following me, saying 'I want to make jewellery'...obviously something that she has seen her mummy do! So I have allowed her to share my work desk (kitchen table). She started with sticking my drill bits into a bit of wood and adding some old beads (and anything else she could find on the table). She was doing it for ages and looked like she was really enjoying it (and so did I as it kept her quiet for a bit and I was able to do some polishing next to her).
So the next day, I have cut another bit of wood especially for her, pre-drilled some holes and stuck in some old bits of wire. Gave her some old beads and she was off threading everything on, apparently 'making Xmas trees'.
She loves doing it and keeps adding to her Xmas tree every day.
It just shows, all the expensive toys you can get these days but all kids want is just something new and exciting to keep them occupied, no matter how much it cost...
Try it yourself (keep them supervised though, careful about putting beads in their mouth etc...safety comes first!)

Latest commission: Bridesmaids Necklaces with hearts

My latest commission was a set of 4 personalised necklaces for bridesmaids. My customer has chosen my PT 2004 24 Silver Heart necklace which was personalised with the bridesmaids' names.

I have done this necklace quite a few times before but it was really nice to see 4 of them together.

My customer has was pleased with the necklaces and left me this lovely comment:

'I just wanted to let you know that my order arrived safely yesterday and I'm absolutely thrilled with it. The necklaces are gorgeous and even nicer in real life than I imagined. I can't wait to give the necklaces to the girls, they'll love them.
Thank you so much for your help and great customer service.'

So pleased that I have another happy customer...

Folksy Friday 23th September: Gold

You may remember my previous post mentioning my diary which I refer to for inspiration for Folksy Friday treasuries.

I have used it once again!
Tomorrow's 'interesting fact' is that on the 24th September the Largest ever hoard of Anglo-Saxon gold was found in Stafford in 2009...wish I got there first!
And so my theme for this week is...gold! Hope you like it.

Back to work!

My holiday is well and truly over (oh I do miss the lovely sunny Menorca!) so it is back to work - and back to blogging!

I have been adding some photos to my new Facebook page and I really like the 'collage effect' my photos have created in the album. Here are some of them, what do you think?

Tuesday's Treats: 'Lovely in Lilac...'

This picture of  lilac Jacaranda trees is my favourite image of this week.
I'm not normally that keen of lilac and purple but these trees are beautiful. To continue with this colour theme, here are some lovely lilac items found on Folksy:
